Director of Planning and Scheduling | Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority

AJ Knee is the current Director of Planning and Scheduling for the Lehigh & Northampton Transportation Authority (LANTA), Chair of the Planning Committee for the Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association (PPTA), and former Parking Enforcement Officer for the Allentown Parking Authority (APA).

His career focus is on public transportation access and curb space management and in urban areas, overseeing long-term fixed-route transit planning, land-use planning, regional project coordination, bus stop management and bus operating schedules.

AJ received his B.A. in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and his M.S. in Community Planning and Urban Design from the University of Cincinnati. He previously worked for Cincinnati Metro as Lead Scheduler and Operations Planner, and after moving to Pennsylvania he worked as a Public Transit Consultant with PennDOT’s Bureau of Public Transportation in Harrisburg. He is looking forward to addressing the complex challenges facing parking and transportation as curb space demand continues to increase in Pennsylvania’s cities, boroughs, and town centers.
